CLP Regulation ( EC ) 1272/2008

The CLP regulation (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) has introduced, since 2009, a new system of classification, labelling and packaging of dangerous substances and mixtures, with the aim to abrogate, since June 1st, 2015, the previous Directive 67/548/EEC (Dangerous Substances Directive) and Directive 1999/45/EC (Dangerous Preparations Directive). The CLP is born with the aim of harmonizing the criteria for classification of substances and mixtures and to establish the rules related to their correct classification, labelling and packaging, in order to ensure a high level of protection of human and environment health as well as the free movement of themselves.
