IATA "Dangerous Goods Regulations " (International Air Transport Association) is an operational version of the Technical Instructions of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization ), which is an autonomous agency of the United Nations, in charge of developing the principles and the techniques of international aerial navigation, of the routes and the airports and promoting the planning and development of international air transport by making it more safe and orderly. It reports the requirements for the transport of dangerous goods by air in a "user friendly " format and also includes additional information which can help shippers in meeting the demands of conformity provided by the airlines.
